Carmenere

What is Carménère?

It is a medium-bodied red wine that originated in Bordeux, France and is now almost exclusive to Chile. Originally, Carménère was thought to be Merlot when it was first brought to Chile. 

Taste Profile:

Carménère has flavours of raspberries, green bell pepper, plum, green peppercorn, and vanilla. The body and tannins of Carménère are medium and it has a medium-high acidity. The body and texture are identical to that of Merlot.
