What is Pinot Noir?
Pinot Noir wines are translucent, very pale in colour, and have subtle flavours. The grape is susceptable to disease making it very prone to mutations and a making it a difficult grape to grow compared to other varietals. The top 5 producers of Pinot Noir are: France, USA, Germany, New Zealand, and Italy.
Taste Profile:
Primary flavours of cherry, cranberry, and raspberry are present. In addition, clove, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, caramel, and cola can be tasted in the wine. The tannins are medium-low with the acidity being medium-high. Serve at 17ºC.
