What is Cognac?  

Cognac is a variety of brandy that is produced in the Cognac area of France. Cognacs have varying grades depending on the age which then classifies into a quality category. 

The 3 Age Classifications are:

  • VS (Very Special)-  aged for at least 2 years
  • VSOP (Very Special Old Pale- aged for a minimum of 4 years
  • XO (Extra Old)- aged for a minimum of 10 years

Taste Profile:

Flavours of flowers, citrus, fresh and dry fruit can be found. The taste will very depending on the process used in making the spirit.
